Notes:
Many analysts are adopting this user centered approach in developing systems in that the emphasis for the scope and the functionality of the system is based primarily on the user’s requirements. Past history and studies have shown us that requirements errors are the hardest and most expensive to fix, and therefore it is to our best interest to identify, define, and validate the user’s requirements as early as possible. Using rapid application development tools and techniques can reduce the risk of discovering requirements errors later in the life cycle. RAD has shown to be an excellent technique in discovering and documenting the system data and processes. Several CASE vendors today have tools to rapidly build prototype windows, reports, and databases, record the information in a repository, plus upload the identified objects to a development environment in which to construct the final system.
