Notes:
As tasks are completed, in part or in whole, that progress can be added to the task information in Microsoft Project. Subsequently, Project can generate progress views of the Gantt Chart that use color or shading to clearly highlight those tasks which have been completed; those tasks in progress (visually showing percentage complete); and those tasks not yet started. These progress-oriented charts can also use color to show those tasks that are on schedule, ahead of schedule, and behind schedule. Finally, color can be set to compare the original schedule against any revisions to that schedule. All of these ‘views’ are useful to project managers who may need to determine the impact of missed deadlines or unexpected delays.
